President
Lead and support the RAG committee, ensuring all roles are fulfilled effectively
Ensure the committee remains a positive and supportive environment
Step in to oversee any aspect of RAG operations as needed
Act as a key representative for RAG in the wider university community
Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of RAG events and initiatives
Attend meetings with charities and sponsors where appropriate
Organise sponsorship for RAG events and secure corporate partnerships
Work closely with the Vice President and Treasurer to organise the disbursement of funds to chosen charities
Vice-President
Support all committee members in their roles and help where needed
Assist with the coordination and execution of RAG events and initiatives
Provide guidance and help with decision-making across RAG’s activities
Step in for the President when necessary and help lead the committee’s efforts
Organise sponsorship for RAG events and secure corporate partnerships
Ensure smooth communication and collaboration between all committee members
Help at RAG events and offer support during campaigns and fundraising activities
Secretary
Manage the RAG email inbox, labelling incoming emails to direct them to the right committee member
Respond to general enquiries and ensure timely replies across the team
Take clear, accurate minutes at all RAG meetings and share them promptly
Record and track decisions made by the Executive Committee
Help organise meetings by coordinating availability and sending reminders
Keep the Google Drive organised and accessible to the committee
Support at RAG events and assist other committee members as often as possible
Following meetings, produce tasks for every member and inform them of their tasks
Monitor tasks weekly and chase where necessary, coordinate with other members of executive committee where things are falling behind
Organise sponsorship for RAG events and secure corporate partnerships
Treasurer
Manage RAG’s finances, including tracking the SGF, annual, and monthly budgets
Ensure RAG floats are maintained with accurate receipts and records of any cash spent, keep possession of spare keys for lock boxes and ensure timely returns and deposits.
Coordinate use and transfers of funds from card readers appropriately
Apply for all relevant AUSA grants to support RAG activities.
Research and apply for external grants or funding opportunities
Keep accurate records of all income and expenditure
Provide budget updates to the committee and help guide spending decisions
Ensure funds are used effectively and in line with RAG’s goals
Support other committee members with budgeting for events and initiatives
Help at RAG events and assist with committee-wide tasks when needed
Organise sponsorship for RAG events and secure corporate partnerships
Charity Coordinator
Maintain regular contact with RAG’s chosen charities throughout the year
Offer small, long-term support opportunities in addition to fundraising (e.g. volunteers, donations)
Keep charities informed about upcoming RAG events and invite their involvement
Encourage charities to share any events they’d like RAG to attend or support
Respond to charity enquiries via email, explaining our current commitments and how to apply for future support
Support at RAG events and assist other committee members when needed
Societies Coordinator
Be the main point of contact between RAG and university societies
Strengthen RAG’s presence across campus through meaningful society partnerships
Create new or update existing RAG-society collaboration contracts
Hold initial preferably in-person meetings with societies, followed by ongoing support (online or in-person)
Provide guidance and ideas to societies on fundraising in collaboration with RAG
Support societies with logistics, promotion, and planning for joint events
Promote RAG through society networks to boost awareness and engagement
Create any new society group chats within the RAG Community (ensuring Exec is in each one and are admins), and maintain communication in existing ones
Help at RAG and partner societies events as possible and provide support
Work closely with the rest of the committee and assist other roles when needed
Events Coordinator
Organise monthly events (pub quiz, bingo etc)
Ensure small-scale events are planned on campus at least twice per term (hot choc stand, Bake sale)
Coordinate the running of larger scale events (Activities ball raffle, Grad ball raffle, Dons day out)
Assist other committee members with larger campaigns and activities
Social Media Manager
Take the lead on RAG’s Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and website
Create engaging, on-brand graphics and promotional content for events and campaigns using the society’s Canva account.
Keep all platforms active with regular posts (minimum 2x weekly across platform), stories, reels, and updates
Design posters, flyers, and digital assets for both online and on-campus promotion
Capture or collect photos/videos from events to use in marketing
Create & Organise content dump chat, ensure photos are used regularly and essential people are in the chat
Build engagement with students, societies, and external supporters
Have creative freedom while maintaining consistent branding and tone
Monitor engagement and suggest improvements to boost visibility and reach
General Member
Ensure RAG has a strong, visible presence across the university
Be vocal and proactive at Freshers’, Re-Freshers’, offer holder days, and all RAG stalls
Assist in organising small-scale events (e.g. bake sales, info stalls) to raise awareness and funds
Promote RAG through flyering and posters in halls and around campus
Attend and support RAG events, helping out where needed
Assist other committee members with larger campaigns and activities
Act as a point of contact for students interested in getting involved
Help recruit members and boost student engagement with RAG’s work
